Nike Free Trainer 5.0 TB

  • Comfort: Right out of the box these shoes felt very comfortable. As a training shoe the insole is highly cushioned throughout the whole foot. The phylon midsole is lightweight and keeps your feet cool while you lift or train.
  • Fit: As far as the fit goes, I went with my normal 9.5 shoe size. So I would recommend going true to size with this shoe. The shoe has a unique criss-crossing bands that sort of keep the foot secured after tying the laces.
  • Durability: After owning the shoe for about 2 months, the shoe is still comfortable all over. The bottom diamond patterns allows for full range of motion and good traction. The inside still feels like a comfortable sleeve. I still expect the shoe to last a long time especially if I just use them casually.
  • Last thoughts: Comparing this shoe with a basketball shoe I would say that it is very different. The shoe is lightweight with no restrictions whatsoever for movements such as jumping, squatting, and other movements. The midsole is complete by providing comfort the whole time. The mesh and criss-crossing bands provide a breathable environment while making the foot locked down without any discomfort. On a scale from 1-10 I would rate the shoe a 10 because of how complete it is. It is comfortable, light, serves the purpose of training, and all the materials are of  great quality.  I recommend the Nike Free Trainer 5.0 TB for training or to wear casually.
